Executives of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives, Mrs Doris Richardson (Head of Midwifery) and Mrs Charity Djokoto (Head of Nursing) were in Catholic Hospital, Battor to explore and discuss opportunities to train Resident Nurses and midwives of the College in Catholic Hospital, Battor. They had discussions with a team in Battor made up of Mr. Donatus Adaletey (Administrator), Dr. Med. Bernard Hayford Atuguba (Medical Superintendent), Mrs Catherine Agbotame-Hadzor (Nurse Manager), Mr. Charles Atitso (Deputy Nurse Manager) and Dr. Med. Kofi Effah (Head of the Cervical Cancer Prevention and Training Centre).
Ms. Ethel Tekpor, Nurse in Charge of the Cervical Cancer Prevention and Training Centre (CCPTC), took the executives through the the activities at the CCPTC.
The Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives is training nurses and midwives across the country in specialised care and sees Catholic Hospital, Battor as a partner with a similar vision in building capacity across the country.
