Cervical Cancer Prevention and Training Centre Catholic Hospital, Battor. Day 2

Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Module 2, Day 2.
Training continues.

The training programme has evolved – from training one person to a maximum of 6. Now we have built capacity to train up to 14 health workers at a time.

This means the hospital no longer has the capacity to accommodate all the trainees on its premises. A Guest House in Battor accommodates them. Everyday, a vehicle has to pick them up to the Centre and send them back (an additional cost that has to be added to the cost of training).
Cooking for trainees has also been ‘sublet’ to a cook in town…

Jobs are being created in Battor (however small) due to the training programme.
One day, when we are successful, we have a long story to tell.
